How the 'Tea Time' decoupage box was made

Here are some photos documenting the steps of how the Tea Time box was made starting form the empty wooden box finishing at the ready tea box. Here is what I used:




I painted the sides with beige leaving the picture areas white so that the images can have their colors vivid enough. I also added some darker brown colour to the edges to make it look more vintage


I decoupaged the pictures onto their place. Since their sides of the images were cut straight I painted them beige or brown to blur the strong dividing lines. I also added more dark brown to the box edges.



For the sides of the box I used another paper napkin (it was a Christmas themed one as I remember but I don't have it anymore). As you can see its length was not enough so again I had to do some painting and blurring,..


The inside is again beige color with space left for the flower image which I also added a butterfly to. All looked too clean so I added some brown paint to make it look more used.



Then I painted the inside part


I put a small ladybug and the opener part on the side.


I added some metal corner decorations on the top.


And basically that was it. Here is what the end result looks like:
